John was raised in a military family and spent most of his childhood moving between Central America and the United States. After attending college at Virginia Commonwealth University, John joined the United States Coast Guard. When he was 30 the Lord graciously intervened in his life and saved him. After coming to faith in Christ, John left the Coast Guard to pursue pastoral ministry. He completed the pastoral internship at Capitol Hill Baptist Church before coming on staff at CHBC as a pastoral assistant, and later as an assistant pastor. He recently completed his M.Div at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. John is married to the love of his life, Leia, and has two sons, Jack and Knox and a daughter, Grace.
Mike McGregor grew up in Baltimore and became a Christian in high school at a conference where the keynote speaker shared the gospel. After college Mike went on staff with a para-church youth ministry for 8 years before heading to seminary full time at Reformed Theological Seminary where he is still a student pursuing an MDiv. Mike is a Pastoral Assistant at Cheverly Baptist Church. He and his wife Kelly live in Cheverly with their three kids.
