SUNDAY MORNINGS

Children’s Ministry will be provided for ages 1 year old (walkers) through 7 years old. Classes will be offered for ages 1 year old (for the entire service) and for 2-7 year olds (from start of the sermon until the end of service). Because older children will be leaving during the service, please stop by the check-in desk to register your child before the service starts. The check-in table will be located near the book vending machine, to the right of the main entrance doors.

Cheverly Baptist Church uses the Gospel Story curriculum for ages 4-7 years old. This curriculum is designed to walk through the Bible over a span of three years, teaching children that God’s Word is one continuous story pointing to Jesus as the hero. For our 1-3 year olds, we look forward to playing, singing hymns and spiritual songs, and reading The Beginner’s Gospel Story Bible to them.

Awana is a worldwide nonprofit ministry focused on providing Bible-based evangelism and discipleship solutions for kids. As the global leader in child and youth discipleship, Awana gives children the opportunity to know, love and serve Jesus, no matter their background.

What does that look like at CBC? We offer clubs for kids 3 y/o (potty trained) through 6th grade where through exciting activities they learn Scripture, are discipled in the faith, and just have a great time! Meetings are held Sundays, 5:30 - 7:00pm at Landover Hills Baptist Church. For more details, email us here.
